Signet Open Meeting

With a few venerable boats in various stages of re-build, just six lined up for this year's Signet Open Meeting. But conditions were almost as good as they get at Frensham – a good NNEly, strong enough to plane in the gusts yet shifty enough to keep life interesting. Plus, of course, bright sunshine.

The local boat, with Luke Anstey at the helm and Kate Taylor up front, did not put a foot wrong to win the starts and secure three convincing first places. A fantastic result for the youngest helm in the fleet racing against adults. Pat Overs and Lizzie Davies (Paxton SC) provided some close tactical racing to take second place, with Tim and Tom Wild (Saltash SC) snapping at their heals in third.

The Signet Class Association is very grateful to FPSC for hosting another open meeting and were once again bowled over by the facilities, friendly welcome and brilliant weather provided!
