ILCAs for Hire
Everybody knows the Laser - now known as the ILCA!
Originally designed as a simple, low cost, low maintenance beach boat, it is by far the largest of all the dinghy classes with over 220,000 boats registered world-wide.
FPSC has three ILCAs available for members to hire. Each boat comes with a choice of rigs:
ILCA 4 - 4.7 sq m sail (“Laser 4.7”) suitable for lightweight sailors 45 - 65 Kg
ILCA 6 - 5.7 sq m sail (“Laser Radial”) suitable for crew weights 55 - 75 Kg.
ILCA 7 - 7 sq m sail (“Laser Standard”) suitable for crew weights 75 - 95 Kg.
In each case you just select the sail and the lower mast section but everything else stays the same. So this gives you options for weight, weather conditions and your level of skill.
