2.4mRs for Hire
Whilst the International 2.4 metre is a thoroughbred racer it is straightforward to learn to sail although it requires lots of practice to sail it well.
The helm sits down in the boat facing forward with all of the trim controls within arms reach. The boats performance is not significantly affected by the sailor’s weight and sailing them is not physically demanding. So the 2.4mR can be sailed competitively by broad range of people and is ideal for disabled sailors.
Sailability owns three 2.4mRs which can be hired by Sailability or Club members. It is essential that first time hirers contact the Class Captain or Sailability Management Committee Chair to arrange an introducion to the boat and trial sail.
